It does this by combining the reliability of a standard product with the design freedom of a custom-made piece – thanks to two sizes, 19 colour variants, two different optics, various colour temperatures and light directions, as well as DALI or Bluetooth controls. Photo 4: Using the intelligent swarm module, Zumtobel automatically links up individual luminaires within a radius of up to seven metres to form groups. A cloud of light forms from a bright central point of light to a softly dimmed edge. Pre-set dimming levels enable automated lighting controls. A light output of 100 per cent is set directly at the user’s workplace. swarm activates the luminaires in the immediate vicinity with a light output of 50 percent and the luminaires in the third ‘row’ with a light output of 20 percent. Zumtobel is expanding its product portfolio with three new luminaires and two intelligent lighting technology systems, setting standards with regards to quality, innovation and sustainability. The focus of the office luminaire AMBITUS is on a pleasant working atmosphere as well as relaxed and creative work. The flexible SLOTLIGHT infinity II light line family ensures buildings can be used with enjoyment and success for many generations to come. The new pendant luminaire TRAMAO is an eye-catcher that combines maximum lighting quality with effective sound absorption and contemporary design. Zumtobel’s intelligent swarm technology transforms workplaces into swarms of light – with a plug-and-play module that automatically connects individual free-standing luminaires. Using High Accuracy Positioning (HAP) technology in combination with Zumtobel’s TECTON continuous-row lighting system, objects and people can be located in real time to the nearest metre in order to improve production, intralogistics and shop management.

“With the new products, we are creating added value for users in buildings in various ways and are continuing the success story of our innovative lighting technologies. Each individual solution is a prime example of technical innovation. Our goal is always to provide a completely new lighting experience that meets dynamic requirements, especially those in the field of office lighting, over a long period of time. The fact that we think beyond the life cycle of a luminaire is part of our identity and our contribution to a sustainable product cycle,” explains Thomas Ölz, Vice President Brand & Application at Zumtobel.

AMBITUS: the award-winning designer luminaire for harmonious light in the office

AMBITUS provides harmonious light that is inspired by the sun and takes the place of two linear luminaires. The elegant light ring creates powerful, uniform indirect light for ceilings and walls and precise, glare-free direct light for workspaces. The luminaire also impresses with its multiple-award-winning design. Among others, it has received the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award.

TRAMAO: optimum visual conditions and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere

The TRAMAO pendant luminaire is an eye-catcher in offices, hotels and restaurants, providing maximum light quality combined with effective sound absorption. With a very high proportion of recyclable materials, TRAMAO creates a special spatial impression in a sustainable way. As a joint product by Zumtobel and Typico, the TRAMAO pendant luminaire combines the reliability of a standard lighting solution with the design freedom of a custom-made piece – thanks to 19 colour variants, two sizes, two textile optics, tunableWhite and Bluetooth or DALI control.

SLOTLIGHT infinity II: a modular and cross-generational light line family

The SLOTLIGHT infinity II light line family represents maximum continuity and can be used successfully in buildings for many generations to come. This is ensured by the sustainable design that’s in line with Zumtobel’s Circular Design Rules as well as the lighting system’s exceptional versatility and modularity. SLOTLIGHT infinity II impresses with brilliant optics, a timeless design and maximum efficiency and project design freedom. The lighting solution is a further milestone for the Zumtobel light line, which was first launched in 1999.

Swarm: an intelligent module for connecting individual luminaires

Workplaces become swarms of light with Zumtobel’s intelligent swarm technology. The plug-and-play module automatically connects individual free-standing luminaires, activates nearby luminaires when presence is detected and dims them according to requirements. Swarm control technology automatically links up individual luminaires within a radius of up to seven metres to form groups, creating a pleasant atmosphere in the office and increasing employees’ well-being and therefore their satisfaction and motivation.

High Accuracy Positioning (HAP): the lighting solution of the future

The smart combination of Zumtobel’s TECTON continuous-row lighting system with High Accuracy Positioning (HAP) technology creates the lighting solution of the future. This makes it possible to locate people and objects in real time with pinpoint accuracy. Findings from the data obtained create more transparency and increase the efficiency of processes in the retail, industry and logistics sectors. The integrated solution acts as the digital backbone of a building’s infrastructure and transforms the lighting into a smart network. This is how HAP paves the way for a wide range of applications involving the Internet of Things (IoT).
