Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – The third edition of BUILDTECH & MHS (Malaysia International Building Materials and Construction Technology Exhibition) and MHS (Malaysia International Hardware Exhibition), successfully took place from 8-11 October 2014 at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur.
Billed as one of the most comprehensive events and sourcing hubs for the building and construction industry, BUILDTECH and MHS 2014 gathered companies supplying products, technologies and solutions for the building and construction industry under one roof. BUILDTECH and MHS event is endorsed by Ministry of Works Malaysia (KKR), Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR), and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) as well as organised by the Trade Link ITE Sdn Bhd (a company of ITE Group Plc, UK).
Apart from the local participants, BUILDTECH & MHS also attracted foreign participation from countries including United Kingdom, China, Europe, Thailand, Korea, Middle East, Taiwan, Singapore and few more to be name all together for more than 200 participating countries. Spanning over 10,000 square metres in the exhibition hall, BUILDTECH & MHS managed to attract more than 5,000 visitors both local and foreign visitors from the region comprising of developers, architects, engineers, planers and craftmen, builders, building owners, interiors designers, facilities and renovation specialist, etc.
With the impressive record of Malaysian economy as the country 4th most trade-dependent nation in the world and the well performed in construction sector shown in the productivity report consecutively encourages businesses to invest in machinery for construction rather than labours. The remarkable productivity of construction sectors with the RM 101 billion worth of construction projects were approved in 2013 has proven the construction industry will continue in being one of the prime movers of Malaysian economy.
