Global partnerships

Tembusu Asia has recently signed several Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with regional and international organisations to stimulate collaborations that will foster sustainable development in Asia with global technologies, with a focus on harnessing opportunities following rapid regional infrastructure development and China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The MOU signed with the Indonesian company PT Asia Global Raya aims to develop opportunities and solutions through the strength and expertise of both organisations to make Eastern Indonesia a sustainable region. Tembusu Asia has been commissioned by PT Asia Global Raya to develop an inception report for the Banyan Eco Oasis Resort at Adonara, Flores, Indonesia – a new 200-ha sustainable leisure and health integrated development.

The inception report by Tembusu Asia will provide an overall view of the proposed development and addresses concerns of environmental impact, regulatory compliance, and the need for technical due diligence, land use concept masterplan and preliminary financial assessment on the project. The resort is planned to include facilities for eco-tourism and sustainable farming, waterfront promenade, as well as residential complex, vocational centre and potential marina in the future.

Another MOU was signed with Sapphire Corporation Limited (Singapore/China), which owns 100% stake in China-based EPC business, Ranken Infrastructure, a privately owned integrated urban rail transport infrastructure company. The collaboration between both parties will cover urban infrastructure, comprising rail transit, tunnels and underground construction, and development of environmental and water stewardship as well as related infrastructure design and construction business in both China and overseas markets, including but not limited to the countries along the BRI.

The other two MOUs involve collaborations with the UK’s Cranfield University (for training, consultancy and research in the area of environmental science, renewable energy, transportation, advanced manufacturing and aerospace engineering); and Denmark’s Niras Gruppen (in the water management area such as water and wastewater treatment and water resources within the geographical region, with the possibility of expanding it to other topics or other geographical regions).
