As part of its ‘Blue Strategy’, Haulotte has formed a partnership with Bouygues Energies & Services for the use of hydrogen energy to fuel lifting equipment.
Bouygues Energies & Services will test a Haulotte machine equipped with a fuel cell system under real conditions on several of its construction sites for one year. The company will also be in charge of studying the hydrogen supply ecosystem for the construction sites.
This partnership aims to confirm the technical feasibility of using hydrogen technology in the construction sector to provide a low-carbon, zero-emission solution in response to climate, environmental and public health issues. Haulotte is currently exploring solutions for the complete decarbonisation of its future people-lifting equipment.
